Zachariah Evans graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in May, 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Government. He continued his education at The University of Texas School of Law, receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2012. During law school, Zachariah served as a legislative law clerk for the Travis County Probate Court and the Texas House Democratic Caucus.
Licensed by the Texas Bar Association, Zachariah provides Akers & Akers' clients with expertise in municipal court prosecution, the Public Information Act, ordinance and legislative drafting.
Prior to his legal career, Zachariah worked in and around the Texas Legislature for nearly a decade, serving members of both parties and in both houses of the Legislature. He is an expert in parliamentary procedure and the co-editor of Texas Senate Practice (2013).
Zachariah Evans served in the United States Marine Corps as an Air Traffic Controller from July 1998 to July 2003. During his time on active duty, Zachariah was awarded multiple Certificates of Commendation, the Good Conduct Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, among others.
Zachariah lives in East Austin and has a penchant for muscle cars, motorcycles, and anything that goes fast on wheels.
